Convertly publishes calculators and explanatory reference material designed to answer a practical measurement question clearly. This policy describes what we require before a page is published and how we keep commercial considerations separate from calculator results.
Original usefulness
A page must do more than repeat a conversion factor. It should provide a working calculator, the formula in plain language, a worked example, a useful reference table, relevant cautions, and links that help the reader understand the measurement system. We avoid publishing pages whose only purpose is to target a slightly different search phrase.
Accuracy checks
Before publication, we verify the direction of conversion, source and destination labels, formula, reciprocal relationship, representative test values, zero handling, decimals, and output formatting. Exact definitions are distinguished from approximations. Temperature formulas, area relationships, storage conventions, and similarly easy-to-confuse topics receive context specific to their measurement type.
Sources and attribution
We favor standards bodies and public measurement authorities over anonymous conversion lists. Our methodology page identifies the source hierarchy and explains rounding. We summarize definitions in our own words and link to primary references when they materially help readers verify a relationship.
Corrections
Readers may report an error through the contact page. A useful report includes the page, input, displayed result, expected result, and supporting source. Verified errors are corrected across the interactive result, formula, examples, tables, metadata, and structured information. We do not alter a correct standards-based relationship merely to match an unsourced third-party calculator.
Advertising independence
Advertising does not determine which tools we publish, the factor a calculator uses, or the result it displays. Ads must be visually distinguishable from site content and must not obstruct navigation or imitate calculator controls. We do not ask visitors to click ads, refresh ads, or generate artificial impressions. During quality review, intrusive third-party interstitial advertising is disabled.
Privacy and accessibility
Current calculator entries are processed locally in the browser. We aim for keyboard-operable inputs, explicit field labels, readable contrast, responsive layouts, and results announced to assistive technology. More details about analytics, advertising technology, and visitor choices appear in the privacy policy.
Scope and responsibility
Convertly is intended for general informational use. It cannot replace calibrated instruments, professional judgment, an applicable contract, or a governing technical or legal standard. Readers are responsible for confirming the required unit convention and precision in safety-critical, medical, laboratory, engineering, surveying, financial, or regulated work.
